One of the boulevard's oldest businesses in moving to modern premises early next week. Flora Ottimer Children's Boutique will be getting a brand new look!
The famous Las Olas boutique first opened its doors on the boulebard in 1945. (That's even before I was born!) The business was started, unsurprisingly, by a lady called ... Flora Ottimer Green. In 2011, the store is now serving its fourth generation of Florida children.
Mrs Green, originally from Indianapolis, died in 1988.

Current owner Mary Welker, along with her staff of lovely ladies, continue Flora's traditions but with up-to-the-minute toys, clothing, gifts and baby goods.
The new-style Flora Ottimer will be located at 1036 ELO, sandwiched between Solita and Schakolad in the former Ray Lewis space.
