Do you need a phone app?

Several years ago, when smart phones were developed, a lot of companies gave huge amounts of money to developers to create their phone app. Was it worth it?

OK, maybe other people have been aware of this for a while but it's only just come to my attention and it's bad...

About time I had another rant, I think ...

And customer service will be the theme of the day. That, or lack thereof in the case of our hosting company and they seem to be the only thing that causes me to rant these days.

Oh, so now it's Twitter that's 'just for young people'

Here we bloody go again. I forget just how many times I've ranted about this 'the internet is for young people' nonsense. I've also ranted about how geo-location apps and mobile marketing and so forth are 'for young people'. Now, it's Twitter evidently.

Customer service - again

Isn't that exactly what you want on a Monday morning - being called a liar by a so-called 'customer service" rep?

Sponsorship - a two way street

Not just that, but it's a relationship too. Just like my cute little gears above. Ask not, to paraphrase for a moment, what your sponsor can do for you, but what you can do for your sponsor.

It seems all my recent rants have been about Twitter and I'm sorry, I'm at it again.

Twitter doesn't work

Opinions are certainly divided. There are those, like Chevrolet, Dell, Starbucks, Ford Motor Company, JetBlue and so on and so on, who love it and make the most of it. There  are others, small businesses usually, who say that Twitter "just doesn't work".
