We haven't been able to discover the origins of this photograph but we sincerely hope it is genuine and not staged...
It would be such fun to leave your mark this way in a fine dining establishment, but the necessary ketchup and mustard wouldn't be available. Does this suggest that a guest's pocket should always hold a couple of indelible marker pens, just in case?
Feedback is important, which is why so many restaurants have comment cards, but when did you last fill out a comment card? How accurate are comment cards? Can we suggest that the average guest doesn't bother? People who fill out comment cards are the ones who really have something to say; they are either delighted or unhappy.
And by the way, if you're providing comment cards please make it easy for your guests and supply and branded pen too!
