With St Patrick's Day in mind, Bennigan's has created Fergus Dargle - a leprechaun with his own MySpace page.
Fergus' page invites MySpace users to download IM icons, St. Patrick's Day countdown widgets, screensavers, wallpaper and for those not lucky enough to be born Irish, a Lepregram.
"Lepregrams are a way to create your own inner leprechaun," said Flynn Dekker, senior vice president of marketing for Metromedia Restaurant Group (MRG). The Lepregram allows members to download their photos onto the body of a leprechaun. Each Lepregram is customized with its own backdrop, music and message that can be sent to friends. Senders then receive email incentives for Bennigan's.
"This is an opportunity for Bennigan's guests to engage with the brand in a fun, playful way," said Dekker. "Using games, videos, customized lepregrams and downloads customers can really bring Fergus into their lives."
The site also invites users to register for a trip to Ireland and MySpace members that have Fergus' in their top eight friends can win the chance to eat free at Bennigan's.
