Search engines tell us, or at least they lead us to believe, that there is no difference in search results regardless of whether you use singular or plural words.
This isn't the case. See below:
This is a search for 'las olas restaurant'. Note the top three results. Now see this search for 'las olas restaurants':
As you can see, the results aren't the same. This makes sense in this example. Someone searching for 'las olas restaurants' are, in all likelihood, looking for a site which lists more than one restaurant on Las Olas Boulevard. A viewer searching for 'las olas restaurant' is likely to be searching for a specific restaurant.
However, it does indicate hat care should be taken when writing your copy. If you have important keywords, try to make sure that the plurals are included too.
