You can greatly smooth the preparation and creation of your project by ensuring that your design company has all the materials they need, well in advance.
This way, they can ensure that your project is completed in the most efficient and timely manner.
It is helpful if there is one person within your company who is assigned to collating that information and that one person is designated as company contact.
The format of sent material can make a difference to the efficiency of your project, especially if your current project is for the web.
Please note the following:
Send all copy as plain text. Word-processing and other programs create their own formatting and this has to be removed, converted to plain text and then converted to HTML coding for your website. If your project is a printed piece, again the formatting will have to be removed. Images should be in .gif or .jpg formats for the web. Tif. and png. formats are more suitable for printed materials.
Try to present professional photography whenever possible. If you need a professional photographer, your design company should be able to arrange this. Most companies will also be able to supply stock images, but please see here.
Ensure that all images are of the best quality.
Supply as much material as possible in a digital format - for example, on CD or disk.
If you have any special requirements, make sure that these are specified in writing.
