You'll need the airfares to Italy...
Solo Per Due is the world's smallest restaurant, located in Vacone, which is in the Rieti region of Italy ands is about an hour's drive from Rome. It has only one table and can only accommodate two people at a time. The restaurant is housed in a building which dates from the nineteenth century and their website states that 'im warm weather, guests can relax in the shade of a vine and enjoy an enchanting view over the valley dotted with olive groves and vineyards. On a cold winter evening, they can settle with an aperitif in front of a roaring log fire'.
The menu varies every day, depending on what ingredientsare in season and what is available locally. The local area provides a rich assortment of specialties including extravirgin olive oil, sheep's cheese, wild mushrooms, wild fruits, homemade pastas and breads plus local meats. The menu offers exclusively Italian cuisine.
The restaurant allows you to order well in advance and you can specify the type of meal you'd like and also any special touches you require depending on the reason for your visit; the type of background music you'd like, what message you would like attached to the bouquet and so on.
Although the restaurant is open for lunch, if you go for dinner, the driveway to the property is lit with candles, adding to the special atmosphere.
Does it cost a fortune? Well, everything is inclusive, apart from champagne and particulary fine wines. The cost per person is 250 euros which, at time of writing is $383. I don't think that's too bad for a special treat for your beloved - especially if you are my particular beloved and wondering where to take me for my birthday this year ....
