I can't think of any other walk of life in which this would happen.
Can you? Imagine going into a restaurant and telling the server "I'd like to try the chicken. Have the chef prepare it for me and once I've tasted it, I'll tell him what I want in the sauce and what seasonings it should have".
Hopefully, you'd be thrown out.
Imagine going to a tailor and being fitted for a new suit. "I'm not quite sure what color I want. Have your tailors make the suit for me and once I've tried it on, I'll decide what color I want".
Or to the architect: "Build the house for me. I don't know how many rooms I want, but once you've built it, I'll be able to tell."
Or to the baker: "I want to order a cake. I think I'd like fruit in it but I'm not sure which ones. Make the cake for me and then I'll tell you which fruit I'd prefer".
Crazy. Ridiculous. So is "I don't know what size the ad is, or whether it will be black & white or color, but create it anyway and then I'll decide". Or "I don't know how much content I have for the brochure but create it anyway and we can add pages if we need to".
So, just like the restaurateur, the tailor, the architect and the baker, we'll be happy to create your product, then pull it apart and start again ... as long as you have your checkbook at the ready.
