"OK," says the doctor "What seems to be the trouble?"
"There's something wrong with me, I said" says the patient.
"Yes, you said so" says the doctor "but with what bit of you?"
The patient frowns "I just want you to fix it."
"Yes" says the poor doctor "but until I know what it wrong with you I can't fix it".
"You're a doctor, aren't you? You're here to make people well, aren't you? I've come to see you because there's something wrong. All I'm asking is for you to make it better. I don't need this interrogation. Just make it better, that's all I ask".
The doctor tries to keep controlled and calm.
"Is it your liver? Your stomach? Your head? Your toes? Your elbow? What? You have to tell me so I know how to treat the problem".
The man is livid by now "I didn't come here for all these questions to be fired at me. I just want you to make everything OK. You're a doctor, aren't you? Isn't it your job to make people well? I don't have the time to sit here answering your questions - I'm a businessman and I'm losing revenue sitting here. Just fix it so I can get back to work. OK, you say that you need to know more - why? That's ridiculous. Just do what I pay you to do, OK? You want me to take my business elsewhere? I'm happy to do that. And I'll let everyone know how incompetent you are."
Crazy, yes? Another one of those daft conversations that couldn't really take place?
"My email isn't working".
"What's the problem?"
"It's not working."
"OK, what email client are you using? What error message are you getting? Is the problem with sending or receiving? Are you sure that you're using the correct password? Does your business have a firewall...."
"Look, I don't have time for these questions. This is damaging by business. Just fix it..."
