If you go into a MacDonald's franchise for a burger, you are immediately handed a thing in a paper wrapper from the whatever-its-called - that thing that keeps them warm. In a fine dining establishment, your meal is cooked, to order, for you. I think most people accept and expect this, don't they?
And you would expect to pay a lot more at the fine dining establishment than you would in MacDonald's, right?
If you'd prefer the dish without the mushroom side because you have an allergy, you can tell your server and the chef will comply. If you'd like your steak medium-rare, you just have to say.
Try telling them at MacDonald's that you'd like your burger cooked medium-rare and without the pickle, please. This all goes without saying really, because we all know that there's a world of difference between a fine dining restaurant and a fast food franchise.
However, I think that you'd be unlikely to go to a fine dining establishment and complain because their prices are so much higher than MacDonald's. As probably everyone's mother says at some time, you get what you pay for.
It's the same with buying a car. You'd be justified in expecting a Porsche to be superior to a Ford Tempo in just about every way. But you'd hardly complain about the fact that the Porsche costs more, would you?
Just saying ...
