I have ranted before about how useful blogs and social networks are for your business.
Today, a social network we created last year passed the 1000 member mark. This is a specialized network so it was quite a landmark.
One of the reasons I like social networking for your business IS that membership factor. Your members feel that they belong to a special 'society' (which they do, of course) and the network gives you an opportunity to connect with your members.
But statistics show something rather interesting. I say 'statistics' but I'm assuming that the figure I'm about to quote isn't 100% accurate, because I can't see how it can be but ...
They say, "they say", that for every registered member at your network, there are at least twelve people following your network on a regular, possibly daily, basis.
After all, joining a network isn't to everyone's taste, some people just prefer to look and read.
And remember that 'at least' ... the figures could be higher. So a social network with 1000 registered member is more than likely to have 12,000 reading it every day. The figure could be 20,000.
Every day.
All those people.
