That was great

Just thinking about the last few times I've eaten out ...

Invariably, at some point, the server has come to our table and asked if everything is OK or if we are enjoying the meal. (There is a school of thought that objects to this - the reasoning being that the restaurant staff KNOW that the food they serve is fantastic, so they don't have to ask).

On every occasion, I have said that yes, it's wonderful, delicious. Because it was. And on each occasion, the server has looked genuinely pleased that I'm enjoying the food he or she has provided. I'm sure that the chef gets to know that the fruits of his labors are pleasing his customers.

It must be wonderful to get feedback like that from clients.

How nice it must be to get praise for  your hard work.
