Typepad is operated by a company called Six Apart and the rather nice sunny sunflowers above are for them :)
I have to admit that I've neglected the blog a bit recently - you know what it's like - with one thing and another. Life sort of gets in the way sometimes.
But to find that I couldn't log in was a bit of a shock. I've been ranting away here for three years (which is an exaggeration, you know what I'm like, three years in November then) and the computer always remembered the login. But, due to me deciding to have a huge clear out of cookies and all those other little blighters, I had to rely on my brain.
Which let me down.
Call it a blonde moment, brainfade, or even a senior moment if you must, but the fact remained. Yes, I tried the password reset thingy. No, I still couldn't get in.
I happened to tweet "Anyone having problems with Typepad today?" Six Apart must monitor their brands well because shortly afterwards, there they were, offering help.
Of course, they sorted me out in no time. The blonde/senior moment had caused me to use the wrong email address. I know, I know, pretty dumb. But they were kind enough not to point this out!
